Gabriella Rosen

Gabriella is thrilled to be in another Minnesota Fringe Festival production. She recently graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University with her BFA in acting and is happy to be back in the Twin Cities pursuing what she loves, theatre! This show has been a blast to work on and an incredible joy to play with improvisation. Gabriella would like to thank her family and friends for being her wonderful support system. Enjoy this silly, wonderful, and magical show! (Gabby’s favorite game is Clue or Codenames!)

Ethan Carson

Player/Racer (Actor)
Ethan is so excited to leave his fellow “magical opponents” in the dust! This is his first time performing in a show at MN Fringe, and he cannot wait to take the whimsy and competition of Magical Athlete to a whole new level on the stage! His favorite board-game is Betrayal at House on The Hill because of its spooky vibes, and (much like Magical Athlete) each game can turn into an entirely different experience!

Gino Sturm

Gino is quite thrilled to be making his MN Fringe Fest debut with such a goofy improv show! Ongoing improv: “The Dinner Detective”, “The Peabody Players”. This is Ryley's first production with Sugar Throw Theatre, and they are super exited to be one of the announcers! Their favorite board game is Hot Streak, another game from the makers of Magical Athlete.

Sam Sides

Sports Announcer (Actor)
Sam Sides is thrilled to be making his Minnesota Fringe debut in Magical Athlete: Stadium Showdown! A native of Des Moines, Iowa, Sam now lives in St. Paul with his partner, two cats, and giant 80-pound dog. Sam has been seen in a number of shows since moving to the Cities two years ago, most recently appearing as Billy Cane in Bright Star with Ashland Productions in Maplewood, and as Jerome/u.s. Charley Kringas in Merrily We Roll Along with Morris Park Players. When not performing, Sam loves playing Dungeons and Dragons, taking stage combat classes, and having game nights with friends, especially when Magical Athlete is involved. Sam would like to thank his friends and family for their unending support and give extra special thanks to Brynn for all that she is and does.

Tollef Currell

Musical Clown (Actor)
Tollef Currell (he/him) is an actor, musician, and artist based in St. Paul, MN and a recent graduate of Luther College. Last year he made his Fringe debut in Neon Breeze, and he is excited to return with Magical Athlete! Some other favorite credits include: Con, Stupid F*cking Bird; Krogstad, A Doll’s House; Father, Renascence. His favorite board game is King of Tokyo and he hopes you enjoy our wacky and wonderful competition!
